Part 1 of a unit of work based around the story Stella and the seagull.
Part 1 consists of 4 lessons and the worksheets / lesson objective labels needed. When taught alongside part 2, the final outcome will be a persuasive letter to a chocolate company about their use of plastic wrapping.

A week’s worth of planning around Little Red Riding Hood used during our topic of Traditional Tales. By the end of the week the children create a wanted poster for the wolf!

A week’s worth of planning based on The Highway Rat. By the end of the week, the children write a news report.

English planning for the first few weeks of Year 1 based on the text ‘The same but different too’. Focus on simple sentence structure, adjectives, simple character description.
The children end the week by using their descriptions to make the character that they have designed - this could be extended by the children orally rehearsing sentences about their character and writing these down.

A weeks worth of work to be used within the first few weeks of Year 1, focused on the text ‘Colin Lee Carrot and Pea’. A great focus on differences.

A range of fun, quick early morning activities for Year 1 children to do in the Autumn 1 term. The questions are designed to be answered on whiteboards, though there is no reason why they can’t be answered in books or printed off.
This is a weeks unit of work around The Everywhere Bear. By the end of the week, the children will write their own alternative part of the story.
